Refunds & cancellations
This policy covers deposits and fees for financial auditing engagements with Aibackendanalytics. Website inquiries do not involve payment.
Eligibility
Refunds apply only to amounts paid under a signed engagement letter. Informational fee tables on this site are not invoices.
Timeframe to request
Send written refund requests within 14 days of the event giving rise to the claim (for example, cancellation before fieldwork or a scope change that reduces fees).
Full refund
If we cancel an engagement before planning begins for reasons within our control, prepaid deposits are refunded in full.
Partial refund
If you cancel after planning has started but before substantive fieldwork, we refund the deposit minus documented planning time at the rates in the engagement letter. After fieldwork begins, fees for work already performed are non-refundable; unused prepaid balances may be partially refunded at our discretion.
Non-refundable items
- Time already spent on planning, walkthroughs, sampling, or reporting
- Third-party confirmation fees or travel already incurred with your approval
- Agreed-upon procedures completed and delivered
Deposits
Statutory audits typically require a planning deposit. The deposit secures calendar time and covers early planning. It is applied to the final fee if the engagement completes.
Cancellation & rescheduling
Provide at least 10 business days’ notice to reschedule fieldwork without a rescheduling fee. Shorter notice may incur a fee reflecting staff already allocated. Repeated postponements may require a new engagement letter.
No-shows
If key client contacts are unavailable for agreed inventory counts or exit meetings without notice, we may charge for the reserved day and reschedule subject to availability.
Work already started
Once fieldwork or detailed planning is underway, fees reflect progress. We provide a statement of hours or milestones completed when calculating any balance due or refund.
Process & timing
Email info@aibackendanalytics.digital with your engagement reference and reason. Approved refunds are processed within 14 business days to the original payment method where possible.
